History of JMJ Talent Personnel & Staffing

It all began with one woman’s vision of building a legacy. In 1996, Jeanette Tithof opened the first JMJ Talent Solutions office in Merrillville, Indiana. From there, community relationships began to flourish and have since developed into long-lasting friendships.

For almost two decades, JMJ has been specializing in the staffing and placement industrial, administrative and professional associates for multiple companies in both Indiana and Illinois. Today, JMJ has established offices in Highland, IN (2000), Portage, IN (2008) Michigan City, IN (2011), and Bedford Park (2015) that continue to be staples within their professional communities.

Jeanette Tithof

Jeanette Tithof – President/Owner

Jeanette Tithof has been the owner of JMJ Personnel since 1997 has been an integral leader specializing in placing administrative, industrial, and professional candidates.
In 2004 – 2006, she had an opportunity to open a start-up office in downtown Chicago dedicating her recruiting strengths to assisting HR professionals find their next career opportunities; representing companies seeking HR talent at all levels, in all functional roles from HR Generalist to Sr. Human Resource Vice Presidents.

She’s built relationships and successfully placed candidates with top 100 and 500 companies throughout Northwest Indiana and Chicagoland area companies.

Jeanette knows that nothing happens by accident; she plans and executes with goals in mind. Her motivation and success comes from Faith, Drive, and Determination to create a business that is innovative, responsive and dedicated to adding value in all relationships.

Now in 2015, she leads with another chapter with the re-branding of her organization; “JMJ Talent Solutions & Staffing” expanding into Consulting and Direct- Hire searches.

Michael Hartt

Michael Hartt – Director of Operations

Michael Hartt is a 20 year veteran of the Staffing Industry with a successful and profitable track record of sales and senior level management experience. Proven success of generating and growing major accounts, securing customer base, and maintaining quality assurance. His strengths include organizational development, strategic planning, and team development. Michael has partnered with Chicagoland’s best companies identifying new recruiting and retention strategies for their organizations. A goal driven individual who thrives in a challenging environment, Michael promotes personal accountability, professional growth, and direction of day to day operations for JMJ Talent Solutions. Prior to joining JMJ Talent Solutions Michael worked as Regional Director of Operations for a national light industrial staffing firm managing daily operations across seven states. Michael studied Education and Political Science at the University of Colorado at Denver.

Bob Tithof

Bob Tithof – CFO

A commitment to achieving a higher standard for his customers and associates has been possible by building a team of goal orientated, educated and driven staff. This philosophy has always been the key to exceeding everyone’s expectations.

Moving into the staffing world after thirty years of executive management in the beverage world, Bob was able to use the experience in distribution, marketing, production, and fiscal knowledge to better understand the customers operations. Bob also learned the importance of Human Resource knowledge as regulations grew to an integral liability of most of today’s business.


Diane Hess

Diane Hess – VP of Client Relations

“Diane Hess started with JMJ Personnel 1998. She started as a placement specialist and has worked in every aspect of the business. Diane has 23 years’ experience in the Human Resource area and a Business Degree from Indiana University.

She has a comprehensive understanding of the staffing business. Her philosophy is “People are our business. We must be able to understand our clients’ needs and build strong business relationships with quality in service and responsiveness to a company’s needs.”


Jaclyn Garner

Jaclyn Garner, PHR, CSP – Compliance Manager

Jaclyn has worked for JMJ since 2002. Through her education, certifications, and active involvement in various industry organizations, she has grown to become our Compliance Manager. Jaclyn has a true passion for detail, regulatory compliance and enforcement, and problem solving. She is the one who will handle your business’ unique needs to customize staffing solutions. Jaclyn has a proven record of accomplishment for minimizing liability and turnover costs, maximizing retention, and providing solutions to our customer’s individual recruitment needs. She continues to educate our clients and staff with a wide array of pre-screening, testing, risk management, and technology improvements to streamline the hiring process.
